• Wear proper footwear: boots with a low heel—no open-toe shoes.
• Dress comfortably in long pants.
• Remove loose items (scarves, long jewelry) and tie back long hair.
• Follow staff instructions when approaching or mounting your horse.
• No running or loud noises around horses—they can startle easily.
Your welcome to pack a picnic / dinner basket, a table provided for your pleasure.
🐴 Around the Horse
• Always approach from the front or side, never from behind.
• Speak calmly—horses respond best to soft, steady voices.
• Never stand directly behind a horse or under its neck.
• Lead horses with a halter and lead rope—never pull or drag.
• Keep your hands, feet, and gear away from the horse's mouth and legs.
🐎 While Riding
• Mount and dismount only when and where instructed.
• Keep both hands on the reins and feet in the stirrups.
• Sit up straight and stay balanced in the saddle.
• Follow trail or arena rules—walk only unless cleared to trot or canter.
• Stay spaced out from other riders—one horse length apart.
🚫 Never Do the Following
• Feed horses without permission.
• Yell, run, or wave arms near horses.
• Use phones or earbuds while riding.
• Ride outside designated areas or trails.
❤️ Remember
• Horses are gentle but powerful animals—respect their space.
• Listen to your instructor at all times.
• Ask questions if you're unsure—we’re here to help you feel safe and confident!
